Copenhagen elopement photographer. Ceremony, portraits, and your gallery within four weeks.
I photograph the ceremony, the walk through the city after, and the quiet moments between.
Copenhagen elopements, photographed with an editorial eye.
I photograph the whole day: the walk to the door, the ceremony, and the time you have together after.
I’m Kim, a photographer who moved from Germany to Copenhagen and fell in love with this city. I have a professional education in photography and spent years shooting for commercial brands, actors, and models.
That background taught me how to handle the light and make you feel comfortable in front of my camera, so you can just relax. You don’t need to know how to pose. This is my job, and you will probably even forget that there is a camera.
Small, intimate elopements are what I love the most. The Copenhagen town hall ceremony itself is usually only ten minutes, but the real magic happens in the spaces around it. The nervous walk to the building, the quiet pause outside the heavy doors, and that first breathless walk back out as a married couple. I’m there for every single one of those moments.
What I love about Copenhagen is the endless variety the city offers. There is a perfect, hidden portrait backdrop around almost every corner. Over the years, I have learned exactly which courtyards catch the best light and shadows, where to find the canal reflections and which small streets stay quiet on a busy Friday morning.
I photograph all love stories, without exception.

Copenhagen has a portrait backdrop around every corner. I know exactly where to look.
The town hall interior is clean and full of natural light. From there, the courtyard at Københavns Byret, the canals, and the side streets of the city centre are all within walking distance. I plan locations based on your timing, the light, and what the photos should feel like.
Copenhagen Town Hall
Rådhuspladsen 1. Beautiful interior, iconic building. Civil ceremony runs 5 to 10 minutes.
Byret Courtyard
Stone arches, clean lines, quiet. Five minutes on foot from the town hall. Strong afternoon light.
City Streets and Canals
Side streets off Strøget, doorways, canal reflections. Urban without being crowded, if you know where to go.
Frederiksberg
Gardens and parkland, 15 minutes from the city centre. Open, green, quiet. A different feeling from the streets.
What couples usually ask
Yes, and often. Copenhagen is one of the most welcoming cities in the world for LGBTQ couples. I photograph same-sex, mixed, and non-binary couples without any difference in how I work or what you receive.
Civil ceremonies at Copenhagen Town Hall are typically 5 to 10 minutes. My packages run from 2 to 4.5 hours in total. Each one starts when we meet, usually 15 to 20 minutes before the ceremony, and covers the ceremony plus portrait time in the city.
No. I work in English with most of my clients, and I also speak German. The majority of couples I photograph come from outside Denmark. Copenhagen is one of Europe’s most international places to get married.
Yes, Frederiksberg is covered by the same package. Just mention it when you book and I will plan accordingly. The area also has some of the best portrait locations in the city, particularly the gardens and surrounding streets.
Your gallery is delivered within four weeks via a private online link, ready to download or print. The number of photos depends on your package: up to 100 with the portrait, up to 250 with the collection.
Transport within central Copenhagen and Frederiksberg is included in the package. For ceremonies outside central Copenhagen, a small travel fee applies. Get in touch and I can give you the exact figure for your location.
