Civil marriages for Sønderborg Municipality are held at Sønderborg Town Hall, and for couples marrying from abroad on Fridays at the old town hall in Gråsten or Nørherredhus in Nordborg. Whichever venue is yours, Sønderborg Castle stands on the Alssund five minutes from the town hall, so you have some of the strongest portrait locations in Southern Denmark without a long drive after the vows.
Packages start at €240 with my travel to Gråsten or Nordborg included (€250 at Sønderborg Town Hall), and everything from the first message to your final gallery is in English.

The castle stands on the Alssund, about five minutes' walk from the town hall: pale stone, a courtyard, and open water, one of the strongest portrait locations in Southern Denmark.

Sønderborg Town Hall is calm and well-organised. After the ceremony, the castle, the Alssund, and Als island give you a range of portrait settings unlike anything else in Southern Denmark.

The Alssund waterfront and harbour
The Alssund runs right through Sønderborg, with the harbour promenade and the two bridges giving open water and sky. A short walk from the town hall for a calmer, more natural backdrop.
