Town hall weddings in Gråsten

Your Gråsten wedding,
where royalty chose to stay.

Your ceremony is at Det Gamle Rådhus, Gråsten's old town hall on the square. The Danish royal family chose Gråsten as their summer residence, and its calm, dignified character makes it an exceptional wedding setting in Southern Denmark.

A small travel fee applies, included in your quote before you book, and everything from the first message to your final gallery is in English.

Royal surroundings

Gråsten Palace, the royal summer residence, sits a few minutes' walk from the town hall, a memorable backdrop when the gardens are open.

Where we go

Gråsten Town Hall
and the palace gardens nearby

Gråsten Town Hall is the heart of the day. The palace lake sits directly in front of it, and the palace gardens and the forest are a short walk or a few minutes by car, so the settings change completely without going far.

Gråsten Town Hall

A calm and intimate ceremony space in the centre of town. I know the space well, arrive early, and work quietly throughout the ceremony so nothing is missed.

Gråsten Palace Lake

The lake is directly in front of Det Gamle Rådhus, so it is already there the moment you step out of the ceremony. Water, trees, and a jetty that gives portraits a strong horizontal line, with no travel at all.

Gråsten Palace gardens

The royal summer residence, a 10 to 15 minute walk from the town hall or 4 minutes by car. Its gardens open to the public outside the royal family's summer stay, roughly late June to mid-August, and the Royal Kitchen Garden stays open year-round, so there is a palace setting available whatever the season.

Gråstenskovene

The forest alongside the palace grounds, 3 minutes by car. Where the gardens are open and formal, the forest is enclosed and green: tall trees, dappled light through the canopy, and paths that lead away into something quieter.

From planning to the shoot to post-processing, everything was so easy and top-quality. Benjamin guided us through every pose, made us feel relaxed and natural. The photos were beautifully edited, polished but still so real.

Benjamin was professional, attentive, and incredibly talented. He captured both the big moments and the quiet in-between ones that truly tell the story of the day. The photos came out beautifully. Natural, timeless, and full of emotion.

The palace gardens are a short walk from the old town hall and are a beautiful backdrop. They open to the public seasonally and close when the royal family is in residence over the summer, so I check access for your exact date well in advance. The Royal Kitchen Garden nearby is a year-round alternative if the main gardens are closed.

Yes. Gråsten Town Hall is one of my regular ceremony locations in Southern Jutland. I know how the space works and what to be ready for before you arrive.

Yes, depending on the season. Gråsten Palace is a few minutes' walk from the town hall. The main gardens close while the royal family is in residence, usually late June to mid-August, but the Royal Kitchen Garden stays open year-round, so there is a palace setting available whenever you marry.

A small travel fee applies as Gråsten is outside my immediate Aabenraa base. The exact amount is included in your quote before you commit to anything. I keep it transparent from the start.
