Ceremonies in Haderslev take place at the municipal centre, Christian X’s Vej 39, 6100 Haderslev — through Entrance B. Ceremonies run on Fridays and Saturdays between 10:00 and 12:00. Contact Haderslev Municipality on +45 74 34 34 34 to book a date.
Haderslev Cathedral is one of the finest medieval cathedrals in Denmark and is within easy walking distance of Christian X’s Vej. Just below, Damparken — the city’s park and lake — adds a calm, natural dimension to the portrait session.
A suggested timeline
Arrive 15 to 20 minutes early
Christian X’s Vej 39 is on the western side of the city centre. Enter through Entrance B. Give yourself time to park and settle.
The ceremony — approximately 20 minutes
The registrar leads the ceremony. You receive your marriage certificate immediately after.
Cathedral portraits — 15 to 25 minutes
Haderslev Cathedral is a short drive or walk from Christian X’s Vej. The cathedral square and the lanes nearby are extraordinary for portraits.
Damparken portraits — 15 to 25 minutes
Damparken is a short walk from both Christian X’s Vej and the cathedral. The park lake, the water’s edge, and the open green space give a calm, natural atmosphere that contrasts beautifully with the medieval weight of the cathedral.
