Town Hall Wedding
in Tønder
A historic market town near the German border — and a ceremony room to match
Tønder is one of Denmark’s best preserved market towns. The ceremony takes place in the old county council hall — a beautiful room a short walk from some of the most photogenic streets in Southern Jutland. This guide covers everything worth knowing before your day.

Den Gamle Amtsådsal
The ceremony takes place in Den Gamle Amtsådsal on the first floor at Jomfrustien 8, 6270 Tønder — the old county council hall, situated directly opposite the town hall. The ceremony is not inside the town hall itself. The room is on the first floor and there are stairs. Ceremonies run Monday to Friday during opening hours and Saturdays between 9:00 and 12:00.
The old county council hall at Jomfrustien 8 is a genuinely beautiful ceremony room with real historical character. It sits in the heart of the preserved old town, so the portrait session begins the moment you step outside.
