The Hidden Passage · Jernbanegade
Three minutes on foot from the town hall. A pedestrianised street with a fountain running its length, flanked by tall stone-mosaic pillars under a canopy of green. This is where I usually start, while the ceremony is still fresh.
Koldinghus Castle
Eight minutes on foot, and one of the most distinctive portrait settings in Southern Denmark. Stone walls, open grounds, and a ruin hall behind them, with architectural character that photographs beautifully in any season.

The lake sits directly beside Koldinghus, so the castle grounds flow to the water without a drive. Willows lean over the bank, open water sits behind, and the light on the lake is at its best in the afternoon.
